Bhadreswar is a city in the Hooghly district of West Bengal, India, situated on the western bank of the Hooghly River roughly 40 kilometres north of Kolkata. Home to around 100,000 people, it is a mid-sized urban centre within the greater metropolitan fringe. The city is widely known for its elaborate Jagadhatri Puja celebrations, during which ornate goddess idols are carried through the streets in grand procession. Tetultala Jagadhatri Maa is one of the notable local sites associated with this festival tradition.
