Terms of Service

1. Scope

These terms govern the use of TravelType. By signing up you agree to them. Deviating agreements only apply if confirmed in writing.

2. Use of the service

TravelType is free to use. There are no service-level commitments — the service may be interrupted or discontinued at any time, with or without notice.

3. Content and derived data

You rate places (POIs). From your ratings we compute aggregate tag scores and a travel archetype. These derived values belong to your account and are deleted with it.

4. User duties

You agree not to abuse the service. In particular:

• no automated scripts or bots for data extraction or mass rating,
• no attempts to access other accounts or data unlawfully,
• ratings reflect your actual impression — knowingly false mass ratings may lead to suspension.

5. Disclaimer

POI data is based on public sources (incl. OpenStreetMap, Wikidata) and is provided on a best-effort basis. Currency, opening hours or existence of individual places are not guaranteed. TravelType does not replace your own travel preparation — responsibility for travel decisions stays with you.

6. Term

Use is for an indefinite period. You can end your account at any time via "Settings → Delete account". The provider may terminate the contract for cause (e.g. abuse) without notice.

7. Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Place of jurisdiction — to the extent legally permissible — is the seat of the provider (see imprint). Should any provision be invalid, the remainder of the contract remains in force.
