About Malawi
Malawi is a landlocked country in southern Africa, defined largely by Lake Malawi, one of the largest freshwater lakes on the continent. Bordering Tanzania, Zambia, and Mozambique, the country has a predominantly rural population and an economy centred on agriculture, particularly tea cultivation in the highlands. Liwonde National Park is a known destination for wildlife viewing, while the shores of Lake Malawi attract visitors with opportunities for swimming, snorkelling, and water sports in its clear, calm waters.
