About Saint Pierre and Miquelon
Saint Pierre and Miquelon is a French territorial collectivity in the North Atlantic Ocean, located approximately 25 kilometres off the southern coast of Newfoundland, Canada. The archipelago consists of several islands, with Saint-Pierre and Miquelon-Langlade being the largest. Covering around 242 square kilometres with a small population of a few thousand, it is the only remaining French territory in North America. The islands are known for their rugged maritime climate, French-speaking culture, and a long history closely tied to the fishing industry.
