About Tuvalu
Tuvalu is a small island nation in the central Pacific Ocean, comprising nine atolls and reef islands situated between Hawaii and Australia. With a total land area of around 26 square kilometres, it ranks among the smallest countries in the world by area. The capital, Funafuti, is located on the atoll of the same name. Tuvalu sees very few visitors and lies well off mainstream travel routes. The country is widely recognised as one of the most vulnerable nations to rising sea levels.
