Vietnam stretches along the eastern edge of the Indochinese Peninsula in Southeast Asia, sharing borders with China, Laos, and Cambodia. The country extends roughly 1,650 kilometres from north to south along the South China Sea coastline. With a population of around 97 million, it is one of the most populous nations in the region.
