Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard

Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard is the official name for the northern stretch of Seventh Avenue running through Harlem, Manhattan. It honors the Baptist minister and congressman Adam Clayton Powell Jr. (1908–1972), one of the most prominent African American political figures of the 20th century and a long-serving representative of the Harlem district.
