Canberra railway station
Railway Station
Amersham station is the westernmost stop on the London Underground, sitting at the end of the Metropolitan Line in Travelcard Zone 9 — roughly 40 kilometres northwest of central London in the Buckinghamshire market town of the same name. It is one of only 14 Underground stations located outside Greater London, a geographic outlier that gives the station a mild curiosity value among transit enthusiasts. In addition to frequent Metropolitan Line services, Chiltern Railways uses the station as a stop on its fast trains to London Marylebone. The station is fully accessible and recorded over two million Underground and two million rail journeys in 2013.
