Apensen

Apensen is a small municipality in the southern part of the Stade district, roughly 30 kilometres southwest of Hamburg. It serves as the administrative seat of the Samtgemeinde Apensen, a collective municipality that includes the village of Grundoldendorf. The surrounding landscape is typical of the Lower Saxon Elbe marshlands.
