Gifu-Hashima Station

Gifu-Hashima Station is a Shinkansen stop in Hashima City, Gifu Prefecture, operated by JR Central on Japan's main island of Honshū. Opened in 1964 alongside the Tōkaidō Shinkansen line, it exists primarily to connect the prefectural capital Gifu to the high-speed rail network. Few express services stop here, and the station functions mainly as a transfer point for regional commuters rather than a destination in its own right.
