Bad Salzungen
Railway Station
Izukyū Shimoda Station is the southern terminus of the Izu Kyūkō Line in Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Opened in 1961, it marks the end of a scenic coastal railway that runs the length of the Izu Peninsula. For visitors, the station functions primarily as a gateway to the historic port town of Shimoda rather than a destination in its own right.
