Zgorzelec railway station

Zgorzelec railway station is a wedge-shaped junction station on the western edge of the Lower Silesian city of Zgorzelec, which until 1945 formed part of the German city of Görlitz as the district of Moys. Its distinctive track layout results from two lines meeting at an acute angle. Sitting at the heart of a divided twin city — Zgorzelec on the Polish side of the Neisse river, Görlitz on the German — the station quietly reflects the postwar redrawing of Central European borders.
