Berne

Berne is a U1 station on the Hamburg U-Bahn network, located in the Farmsen-Berne district and running through an open ground-level cutting rather than underground. Opened in 1918 and listed as a protected Kulturdenkmal, it is a rare example of early Weimar-era transit infrastructure to have received heritage status. With roughly 16,500 daily passengers it serves as a busy commuter stop, but holds no particular tourist or cultural draw beyond its listed status.
