Bethanienkirche

Also known as: Kirche Stieglitzstraße 42

An Expressionist brick church on the edge of the Leipzig riverside forest, built between 1931 and 1933 - just before the Nazi takeover, when the style was soon to be condemned as degenerate. One of the few surviving examples of its kind and a remarkable piece of Weimar-era ecclesiastical modernism.
