Campo-Formio

Campo-Formio is an underground stop on Line 5 of the Paris Métro, situated in the 13th arrondissement. Its name traces back to the Rue de Campo-Formio, which commemorates the 1797 Treaty of Campo Formio — the agreement by which Napoleon forced Austria to cede the Austrian Netherlands after his Italian campaign. The station carries listed heritage status, though it features no distinctive interior design and no step-free access. For most passengers it is an unremarkable transit stop, its historical resonance residing entirely in its name.
