Church of the Virgin Mary Phaneromene

The Church of the Virgin Mary Phaneromene is a Greek Orthodox place of worship in Veria, northern Greece, protected as a national cultural monument. Veria holds a rare distinction in early Christian history — the Acts of the Apostles record that the Apostle Paul preached here, and the city retains one of Greece's densest concentrations of Byzantine and post-Byzantine churches. The Phaneromene church, attributed to the baroque period, remains an active parish church serving the local Orthodox community today.
