Kastelli Airport

Kastelli airfield is an active Greek Air Force base situated west of Heraklion on Crete. Its primary public significance lies in its planned role as the future replacement for Heraklion's capacity-constrained civilian airport, a major infrastructure project for the island. The site is not accessible to visitors.
