Albrecht Dürer's House
Nuremberg
MuseumListed Building
The covered wooden bridge in Hennersdorf near Augustusburg dates to 1840 and is listed as a protected cultural monument in the Free State of Saxony. Roofed timber bridges of this type were common in 19th-century rural Saxony and the Erzgebirge, the shelter protecting the load-bearing structure from rain and snow to dramatically extend its lifespan. It survives as a rare intact example of regional Biedermeier-era carpentry craftsmanship.
