Sanya railway station is the southernmost railway station in China, situated on the southern coast of Hainan Island. Established in 1960, it now serves as a junction between the Hainan eastern ring high-speed railway and the western ring railway, making it the primary rail gateway to Sanya's coastal resorts and beaches. For travelers, it is chiefly a transit point rather than a destination in itself.
