Silver Dollar City

Silver Dollar City is a Herschend Family Entertainment theme park in Branson, Missouri, themed around an 1880s Ozarks frontier town and spanning roughly 250,000 square meters. It traces its origins to Marvel Cave, a natural cavern beneath the property that drew curious visitors from the late 19th century onward; the modern park opened around it in 1960. One of its distinguishing features is a working crafts village where glassblowers, blacksmiths, and potters demonstrate traditional Ozarks techniques daily, with handmade goods available for purchase. Alongside dozens of rides including several wooden roller coasters, the park runs major seasonal festivals — its Christmas event is particularly well-known, lighting the grounds with over four million lights from November through December. It shares ownership with Dollywood in Tennessee, and the two parks draw a largely overlapping family-oriented audience.
