About Annecy

Annecy lies in south-eastern France, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, at the northern tip of its namesake lake and at the foot of the Savoy Alps. With a population of around 132,000, it is the economic and cultural hub of the Haute-Savoie department. The surrounding mountains offer a wide range of outdoor activities, including hikes to destinations such as Roche Sulens and the Rochers de la Forclaz, as well as routes in the Le Sapenay area. The Bibliothèque municipale and the Mairie de Pallud are among the notable public institutions serving the wider agglomeration.
