About New Borg El Arab

New Borg El Arab is a planned city in Egypt's Alexandria Governorate, situated roughly 45 kilometres southwest of Alexandria. Home to around 170,000 residents, it was developed primarily as an industrial hub and represents one of Egypt's more recent urban expansions. Visitors can explore several mosques, including Al-Huda, Al-Siddiq and Al-Ashraf, as well as the Saint Mina Monastery in Mariut. The surrounding area also features local religious sites such as Sidi Abd al-Baqi, Sidi Matuq and the nearby settlement of Ikingi Maryut.
