Chelghoum Laïd is an Algerian city in the wilaya of Mila, in the country's northeast, home to around 82,000 people. Situated on the high plains between the foothills of the Tell Atlas, it serves as a regional centre for the surrounding agricultural area. The Marché Hebdo, a weekly market, anchors much of the town's commercial activity. Several mosques define its urban character, including the Masdjid al-Atiq, the Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Mosque, and the Abd al-Hamid Ibn Badis Mosque, reflecting the city's strong religious and cultural heritage.
