About Cordova

Cordova is a small port city of around 2,600 people on the eastern shore of Prince William Sound in southcentral Alaska. Accessible only by ferry or small aircraft, it has long been anchored by the commercial salmon fishing industry. The surrounding landscape is marked by rugged coastal features including Shepard Point, Naucestaarwikcak Point, and Point Steele, as well as peaks such as Mount Kelly and Shattered Peak. Within the town, the Fisherman's Memorial and St George's Episcopal Church reflect the community's heritage.
