Covington is a small city in King County, Washington, situated roughly 30 kilometres south-east of Seattle. Incorporated only in 2008, it is primarily a quiet residential community on the outer edge of the greater Puget Sound region, with a population of around 20,000. Green spaces such as Covington Community Park, Evergreen Park, and the Schaefer Pond Garden provide outdoor recreation, and the Rain Garden and Alder Grove reflects the area's characteristic Pacific Northwest vegetation. Faith Church and a congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are among the community's local gathering points.
