Decorah
Decorah sits in northeastern Iowa along the Upper Iowa River, with a population of around 7,600. It is widely recognized as a center of Norwegian-American heritage, home to the Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum, one of the most comprehensive of its kind in the United States. The Bily Clock Museum displays intricately hand-carved wooden clocks of remarkable craftsmanship. Luther College shapes much of the town's character, with the Preus Library located on its campus. Outdoor enthusiasts can explore Canoe Creek and nearby protected lands including the Loras Wildlife Management Area and TNC Engbertson Wildlife Management Area.
