Granbury

About Granbury

Granbury is the county seat of Hood County, Texas, with a population of around 11,000, situated roughly 60 kilometres southwest of Fort Worth. Its historic downtown square features well-preserved nineteenth-century commercial architecture, including the Baker-Doyle Building and the E. A. Hannaford Building. Points of interest include Rough Creek Park, Firefighter Memorial Park, Decker Field, and the Jesse Woodson James Grave Site, a long-debated local landmark. The Church of the Nazarene and a memorial to Nellie Gray Robertson reflect the community's civic and cultural heritage.
