About Hvar

Hvar is a town on the western tip of the island of the same name in the Adriatic Sea, part of Croatia's Split-Dalmatia County. Home to roughly 4,000 residents, it serves as the island's administrative and cultural hub. The historic centre preserves notable Dalmatian heritage, including the Parish Church of St. Theodore the Martyr, the Palača Ivanić, and the Church of St. Joseph. The harbour makes a convenient base for exploring nearby spots such as the cove of Vira, the headland of Rt Galiola, and the settlement of Kovačišnica.
