Jixi

About Jixi

Jixi is a city in the far east of Heilongjiang Province, northeastern China, situated close to the Russian border. Home to approximately 1.5 million people, it is an established industrial centre historically tied to coal mining. Visitors can explore the broad 人民广场 (People's Square), the 东山桥公园 park, and the historic 平阳古镇 district with its 延慧宫 temple.
