About Karlovy Vary

Karlovy Vary, known in German as Karlsbad, is a spa city of around 49,000 inhabitants in the Eger and Teplá river valley in western Bohemia, Czech Republic. It is widely recognised for its hot mineral springs and grand colonnaded spa architecture. Points of interest include the viewpoints Vyhlídka Na Kouli and Koule, the churches of Svatý Vít, Nanebevstoupení Páně, and Kostel Panny Marie Utěšitelky, as well as the Vánoční dům and the natural site Propadlina Hubský peň. The city also hosts a well-known international film festival each summer.
