About Krong Kep

Krong Kep is a small coastal city in southern Cambodia with a population of around 36,000, situated on the Gulf of Thailand. Once a retreat during the colonial era, it is today best known for its seafood culture, particularly crab — celebrated locally by the distinctive Crab Monument. Visitors can also explore Wat Samathi, a local Buddhist temple, and enjoy views from the Kampot Viewpoint.
