Leżajsk is a small town in south-eastern Poland, located in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship, with a population of around 13,000. Set in a gently hilly landscape, it includes elevated spots such as Giedlarowska Góra and Pietruskowa Góra. The town features a number of religious wayside shrines, among them the Kapliczka M.B. and the distinctive Kapliczka na drzewie, as well as a cemetery chapel, the Kaplica cmentarna.
