Aizpute Castle
Liepāja
Liepāja is Latvia's third-largest city, situated on the Baltic Sea coast in the western part of the country. Home to around 67,000 residents, it combines a maritime character with an active urban life. Points of interest include Liepāja Peter's Market, the Flower Market, and the Monument to the sailors and fishermen perished in the sea. The Jaunais tilts bridge and the birdwatching tower Putnu vērošanas tornis are also worth a visit, while nearby Aizpute Castle and the Church of Saint John in Aizpute offer a glimpse into the wider region's heritage.
