About Opole

Opole is the capital of Opole Voivodeship in south-western Poland, situated on the Oder River with a population of around 127,000. It is widely known as the home of Poland's National Festival of Polish Song. Visitors can enjoy the open-air swimming area Kąpielisko Malina, the outdoor climbing facility Park linowy, and the locally cherished Ławeczka Starszych Panów landmark. The city also features the parish church Kościół parafialny pw. Świętego Józefa Robotnika and the cultural venue Melpomena, making it a varied destination for a short city break.
