Ostróda is a town in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship of northeastern Poland, with a population of around 9,400. Situated among the Masurian lakes, it serves as a convenient base for boating and cycling trips. The Żegluga Ostródzko-Elbląska canal route connects the town to Elbląg by water. Notable sights include the Grodzisko archaeological site in Kajkowo, a 19th-century eclectic palace, and a Lutheran chapel. The Plaża Miejska along the lakeshore is a popular spot for swimming during summer.
