Pavlopetri is a small settlement in the southern Peloponnese, Greece, situated near Vatika along the Laconian coast. The area is widely known for the submerged prehistoric town of the same name lying in the shallow bay just offshore, considered one of the oldest known sunken settlements in the world. The village itself is home to several churches, including Agios Nikolaos, Agioi Anargyroi, and Panagia Ilariotissa, while the nearby Lygia Beach offers a quiet stretch of coastline for visitors.
