About Plav

Plav lies in eastern Montenegro close to the Albanian border, nestled among the peaks of the Prokletije mountains. The town sits beside a glacial lake of the same name and serves as the administrative centre of Plav municipality, home to around 14,000 people. The surrounding highland terrain features notable summits including Šipovački krš, Vaganički krš and Kamljeva glava. The Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, Crkva svetih apostola Petra i Pavla, is among the town's local points of interest. It makes a practical base for hiking and nature travel away from the Montenegrin coast.
