Rochlitz is a small town in Saxony, Germany, with around 5,700 inhabitants, situated on the Zwickauer Mulde river south of Leipzig. The region is known for its distinctive Rochlitz porphyry tuff, a red volcanic stone historically used in construction across central Germany. Points of interest include the church of St. Annen, the historic St. Leonhardskapelle in Gepülzig, and a memorial commemorating the years 1914–1918.
