Rust
Rust
Rust is a small free city on the western shore of Lake Neusiedl in Austria's Burgenland region, home to roughly 2,000 people. It has a long-established winemaking tradition, commemorated by the Weindenkmal. Among its local points of interest are the Donatisäule, the Christi Himmelfahrt-Säule, and the Maria Lourdes Kapelle with its Lourdeskreuz. The Alsenpark offers a quiet green space in the town centre, while the nearby Badeinsel Seebad Mörbisch and the Steinbruchstiegenanlage provide additional options for outdoor exploration.
