About Skhirat

Skhirat is a coastal city in Morocco situated roughly 25 kilometres southwest of Rabat, with a population of over 120,000. Stretching along the Atlantic shore, it is best known for its wide sandy Skhirat Beach, which draws visitors from the surrounding capital region. The local Marché aux poissons offers a glimpse into everyday fishing culture, while the Marina d'Eden Plage adds a leisure dimension to the waterfront. Several mosques are woven into the urban fabric. The city makes a pleasant day trip from Rabat or a quieter base along this stretch of the Moroccan coast.
