About Meknes

Meknes lies in northern Morocco, between the Middle Atlas mountains and the foothills of the Rif. With a population of around 600,000, it is one of the country's four imperial cities. Sultan Moulay Ismail made it his capital in the 17th century, leaving behind an expansive medina and monumental ramparts. Beyond the historic old town, visitors can explore green retreats such as Yacoub El Mansour Garden, Al-Fath Garden, Jardin Bab es Siba, and the Lac & parc Ain Dhiba on the city's outskirts.
