Sulechów

About Sulechów

Sulechów is a town in the Lubusz Voivodeship of western Poland, situated near the Oder River, with a population of around 16,000. Its layered history is reflected in several local landmarks, including the Zamek Sulechowski, the ruined Pałac Łęgowo, and the Grodzisko Górzykowo Sulechowskie, a medieval fortified settlement. Memorials such as the Pomnik ofiar I wojny światowej and the commemorative stone marking 29 January 1945 recall the turbulence of the 20th century. The PĘTLA ODRY IV cycling route also makes the town a stop for leisure travellers exploring the Oder region.
