Talkalakh, known in Arabic as Tell Kalach, is a town in western Syria's Homs Governorate, situated close to the Lebanese border in the Buqaia plain. Home to roughly 35,000 people, it serves as a local administrative and commercial centre for the surrounding area. The town features several religious shrines, including مقام الشيخ محمد خليل, مقام الشيخ مصطفى الضهر, and مقام الشيخ يعقوب الحسن, alongside the archaeological site of Khirbat al Akrad and the historic bridge جسر الارزونة, offering visitors a glimpse into the region's layered heritage.
