About Armenia
Armenia is a landlocked country in the South Caucasus, bordering Georgia to the north, Azerbaijan to the east, Iran to the south, and Turkey to the west. It is widely regarded as one of the world's oldest continuous civilisations and was the first state to adopt Christianity as its official religion, in 301 AD. The capital Yerevan sits at the foot of Mount Ararat. The country is known for its medieval monasteries, a unique script and language, and a dramatic mountainous landscape.
