About Bolivia
Bolivia is a landlocked country in the heart of South America, bordering Brazil, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Paraguay. Its landscapes range from the snow-capped peaks of the Andes and the vast Altiplano plateau to the Salar de Uyuni — the world's largest salt flat — and tropical rainforests in the eastern lowlands. Bolivia has two seat-of-government cities: Sucre, the constitutional capital, and La Paz, the seat of government. The country has one of the largest proportions of indigenous population in South America and a correspondingly rich cultural heritage.
