About Caribbean Netherlands

The Caribbean Netherlands comprise three special municipalities of the Kingdom of the Netherlands: Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba. Located in the eastern Caribbean, they have held the status of public bodies of the Netherlands since 2010. Bonaire is noted for its coral reef and salt flat, Saba for its dormant volcano Mount Scenery, and Sint Eustatius for its colonial past. Dutch is an official language across all three islands, alongside Papiamentu on Bonaire and English on Saba and Sint Eustatius. The islands are sparsely populated and popular with divers and nature travellers.
