Caribbean Netherlands
Rincon
Rincon is the oldest and largest inland settlement on Bonaire, an island of the Caribbean Netherlands. Founded by the Spanish, the village sits in the northwestern interior, historically positioned away from the coast to protect residents from pirates. The surrounding area rewards curious visitors with natural and cultural highlights including the Marca Indian Inscriptions, Spelonk Cave, the Blowhole, Cave Tree, Boka Washikemba, and the Mangrove Info Center. The point of interest Kaomati and the coastal feature Punto Blanco add further character to this quiet, authentic corner of Bonaire.
