Colombia lies in the northwestern corner of South America, bordering Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, and Panama. It is the only country on the continent with coastlines on both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. The Andes run through the country from south to north, shaping its climate and landscapes.
