Alphabetic Tower

The Alphabetic Tower is a 130-meter steel structure on the Black Sea coast of Batumi, one of the most recognizable landmarks of the modern Adjaran capital. It was built in tribute to the Georgian alphabet — one of the world's oldest scripts still in active use, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2016. The tower's frame spirals upward with letters of the Georgian script integrated into its facade. From the observation platform, visitors take in a broad panorama over Batumi's harbor and the Black Sea. Illuminated at night, it serves as a beacon marking the city's rapidly changing skyline.
