Apocalypse: The Ride

Apocalypse is a wooden roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Santa Clarita, California, built by Great Coasters International. It opened on May 23, 2009 as Terminator Salvation: The Ride, timed to the film's release, before being rebranded as Apocalypse in 2011 once the movie tie-in lost its appeal. The coaster occupies the same footprint as its predecessor Psyclone, which ran on the same spot for 18 years. Like all wooden coasters, it delivers the signature rattling, lateral shuffle through corners that steel rides can't replicate — a deliberate throwback to classic coaster engineering.
